Advisory

Clear-headed decisions and credible governance for businesses that have outgrown informal management.

The challenge

Growth outruns the way a business is run. The founder who made every call now has more offices, more people, and more decisions than one head can hold, while the meeting rhythm, the reporting, and the governance are still the ones that worked when the business was half the size. Decisions get made, but not always recorded, not always consistent office to office, and not always defensible if someone later asks why.

IDZY's Advisory division builds the decision-making layer a larger business needs: board process that stands up to scrutiny, and counsel that sharpens a decision without taking it out of the owner's hands.

Board Governance

Board management support, meeting structure and papers, and board frameworks that give a growing business the discipline of a well-run board: agendas that surface the right decisions, papers prepared in advance, minutes that hold up, and a cadence people can rely on.

We support your board; we don't replace it. IDZY provides advisory and secretariat support — structure, papers, and counsel — while every decision and every vote stays with your directors.

Corporate Governance

Entity- and group-level governance frameworks: constitutions and policies, delegations of authority, and the reporting and compliance structures that keep a growing group accountable and its decisions defensible as it scales.

Risk Governance

Risk-oversight frameworks that let a board govern risk deliberately rather than react to it: a defined risk appetite, a working risk register, clear ownership of controls, and reporting lines that put the right risks in front of the right people.

Executive Governance

Governance of the executive layer, the connective tissue between the board's intent and day-to-day management: delegation, escalation and accountability frameworks that make it clear who decides what, and how those decisions are reported back.

Strategic Advisory

Business advisory and decision support for owners and leadership teams working through a specific question: growth, structure, a restructure, a major investment, or a call that doesn't fit the usual rhythm. Rigorous thinking on tap, framed so the owner decides with more confidence and no less control.

How we work

The same three-tier engagement model runs across every IDZY division. Here is how it applies to Advisory.

Diagnostic

A short, fixed-scope review of how decisions actually get made today: the meeting rhythm, what's governed and what isn't, and where the risk sits. You get a clear read and a recommendation before committing to anything ongoing.

Embedded Delivery

IDZY runs the board and governance function hands-on: agendas, papers, minutes, and the meeting cadence, quarter after quarter, so the discipline holds without the owner having to carry it.

Retained Advisory

An ongoing counsel relationship once trust is established: a standing line to strategic advice and governance oversight for owners who want continuity rather than one-off engagements.

A note on scope

IDZY's Board & Governance work is advisory support to your board and leadership — preparing the ground for good decisions and recording them well. It is not decision-making authority over your business, and IDZY does not act as a director of, or make binding decisions for, client entities. The mandate stays with your people; we make the process behind it stronger.

Engagement sample

Advisory · Multi-office Melbourne real-estate network
A Melbourne real-estate network running across several separately-operated offices had grown past the point where governance could stay informal — each office made its own calls, and there was no shared board rhythm holding the group together. IDZY was engaged to provide board management support across the network: a consistent meeting structure, papers prepared ahead of each sitting, and minutes kept office by office, so decisions are made in a repeatable way and properly recorded — while every decision stays with each office's own principals.
